Classic and I will say traditional sushi restaurant. Great service. Fresh sushi. The edamame is the best we have ever had both by quality and the presentation.
Ask your server for recommended rolls as well. They may vary by night. We had one that was not on the menu and it was delicious.
We recommend Ginza. -

Nice set up. Wonderful staff. Some nice items on their extensive menu! Ordered the albacore tataki and it was excellent. Someone ordered tappan chicken. Not so good but the veggies under it were excellent. Had salmon collar. It was ok. Also ordered spicy scallops. On tiny scallop. Very very disappointing. So disappointing I am not sure when I will return again!
The bathrooms were unique with a rock setting. Very clean. -

This is a great sushi place near Sunrise and Kolb. The sushi is visually appealing, very fresh and authentic. The service is fast, courteous and attentive.
It's hard to find good Uni in Tucson, but this was sweet and fresh. Not quite like the live Uni at Redondo Beach pier, but very fresh. The Uni was MP, but worth it.
The Nigiri sushi was two pieces to an order and had a nice slab of fresh fish with just the right amount of wasabi between the fish and the rice. I also enjoyed the crispy Salmon skin hand roll, and the dynamite style green mussels.
Did I mention the fast service? I had barely started sipping my tea when the plates began to arrive.
I need to come back and try the Ramen and Izakaya-Style small plates. -

Best sushi in Arizona hands down. If you have the extra money sit back order some nice cold saki or shochu that will last a couple hours while ordering Omakase. Omakase is where you let the chef pick your dinner and at Ginza you are treated as if you were in Tokyo finest restaurant.

Ginza is in our favorite top three restaurants in Tucson. Service is excellent, the atmosphere is great and the sushi is very good.
On our latest visit we ordered what has become our go to selection: a round of Miso soup and white wine (a glass of Sauv Blanc and a Pinot Grigio... solid and inexpensive) to start. I love their Japanese scallop sushi, and just discovered their Aburi Salmon Toro; we agree that their Blue Fin Toro is excellent, and Deb loves their Alaskan and Sonoran rolls. With a few Sake - Salmon rolls we round out the sushi order. Their Banana Tempura dessert is always excellent, and this time I enjoyed their unique Green Tea Cheesecake.
Ginza can get crowded as the tourist season picks up, so make your reservations. See you there!
